Restart & Reset Tips

Fix common issues by restarting or resetting your Firestick.

Restart Firestick​

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select My Fire TV
  3. Select Restart
  4. Confirm Restart

Or unplug the power cable, wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in.

Clear App Cache​

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Applications
  3. Select Manage Installed Applications
  4. Select the app
  5. Select Clear cache

Clear App Data​

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Applications
  3. Select Manage Installed Applications
  4. Select the app
  5. Select Clear data

This will reset the app settings. You'll need to log in again.

Factory Reset​

Only do this if nothing else works.

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select My Fire TV
  3. Select Reset to Factory Defaults
  4. Confirm reset

This will delete everything on your Firestick.
